In support of Care and Share, we are having our annual Open House, and a few of our Norwegian artist friends are helping us "Draw up a Chair" for Care and Share.

The original pieces of art to the right, will be auctioned (silently) on November2. A representative of Care and Share will be here to help us this evening, so bring your checkbook or bankcard and bid on a ready-to-hang piece of art, or a pack of greeting cards, all to benefit Care and Share.

For about 20 years, we have opened our home in anticipation of the Holidays. To make it a bit more fun, we started collecting food for our community pantry, Care and Share. It is a wonderful and well run organization that serves families in Southeastern Colorado.

This year, we will be having a silent auction with the four pieces of art above. It would be nice if everyone go involved.

To join in the fun, we ask everyone to think of their favorite food, and how much you would spend shopping to contribute to Care and Share. Then write a check for that, put it in an envelop, wrap it around some non-perishable item and come on by. The only requirement of the evening is to have a good time!

We will get everything to Care & Share the next week. (If you haven't been out to the warehouse, it is something to behold. Click here to visit them) Food donations are repacked for the pantries or other organizations throughout their service area to be distributed to families in need. And what they are able to do with cash is wonderous.

What do we get out of it? We get to see and meet wonderful friends that have taken it upon themselves to help out. We do not ask or keep track of what anyone gives. Your donation is your donation. We just have a lot of fun, and find an excuse to clean the house.

If you do wish to bring a snack to share, or have an extra six pack laying around and would like to bring it, that is great, and welcome.
